What’s in a name?

Sound Experience – an unusual name for an ultrasound imaging business.

People are curious about our business name and often ask what it means. Why the unconventional name for a conventional healthcare service?

I also reflect on our name. To me, the words speak about what it means to experience a successful outcome within our healthcare system and what is lost when we don't. What needs to happen to make that difference.

Sound – a reference to the sound wave technology used to create the images, interpreted by our musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging specialists.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound makes a difference when it provides answers and insights needed to provide treatment that matches the patient's injury or condition, enabling the return to activity.

Experience – because people experience healthcare, for better or for worse.

The quality of care, skill and connection experienced during the process makes a difference in producing individual results for targeted treatment and the return to activity.

This version of healthcare takes time; we believe in taking the time and that the experience should make a difference.
